Here is a photo of Haz Mat 23 while still in production at American Eagle - I believe that this is from Desoto's collection.

This is possibly 1 of a kind, built during the transition period to E1, note A-Eagle plate on front bumper.

As a matter of fact, they did.  They built four of these for Milwaukee.

Great thread, just last month I found our 1988 bid book from American Eagle. They bid my department three Warrior pumpers on Pem-Fab cab and chassis. It was an interesting read going back through the specs and the exceptions. We purchased three E\-One Cyclone pumpers in 1988 instead. I always like American Eagle they looked like quality fire apparatus. It was sad when E\-One used the American Eagle name and logo in the mid-late 1990's for their American Eagle Series entry level basic prebuilt packages. The American Eagle series eventually became the E\-One Traditions series.

Stay Safe,

Rick

Anne Arundel County had several Ward LaFrance pumpers that were refurbed by American Eagle.  This may be one of them.
