Don,
Some good shots the good ole home town of Decatur!!! I don't think I have ever seen the yellow Seagrave. David
that Seagrave along with the Seagrave ladder from the same year went to a guy in effingham back around 1992-3 and sat next to route 32 for the better part of the late 90's and went to scrap as far as i can recall in 02. it was a shame to see the ladder go, it was still in decent shape and went at the auction to the guy for $1500. hey dave you need to be here this weekend, 2" of ice and 5" of snow almost as bad as the ice storm in '78. we are the only small town in the area with power and will be for about 5-8 days. we broke our all time high for calls in a year LAST NIGHT! btw if you have ever seen warrensburg recue 29 '99 ford f800/hackney we just purchased it from them and will be placing it in service in moweaqua in january. will post pics when we get relettered.
I have finally started to post some nice old shots of Chicago Suburban rigs...a sample is attached...see the rest at my site

Nice Shots Paramedic IL, but some questions, first is that a brand new Engine 6 for Carlinville, and where is Athens, IL ? Ive always wanted to get up north that way and shoot Carlinville, Virden, and Bunker Hills Rigs.

Carlinville just took delivery of Engine 6 around mid summer. So far I have heard no complaints about the rig and sure does look nice. Athens is about 20 North of Springfield on route 29 (My home town as well). As soon as I catch the guys at the station I will get the rest of the trucks. Since you mentioned Virden (which is where I am currently from) I hope to this summer get with them and Girard Fire Dept. and get some shots. Stay tuned.
Thanks for the reply.
