THINGS FROM MY COLLECTION
Neshanic, NJ had this beautiful 1950 Studebaker 2R17A/TASC pump. This rare-bird was equipped with a 600 gpm Barton-American UA50 front-mount pump and a 400 gallon water tank. It may be of interest to know that this rig is still in existance and is in mint condition. It is owned by a buff group in England. It is owned by Albert Dean. Check out the Stude Crew at www.thestude.com.

The Fords FC of Woodbridge Township, NJ had one of the more interesting looking units to be built by Trautwein And Sons Company. Serial # 107 was built upon a 1951 GMC c/o chassis and employed a 500 gpm Barton-American UA50 front-mount pump and a 400 gallon water tank. This rig also had a 20 gallon foam tank. Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

That will do it for now. Still got a few more "trouts" to share.

GMC sure had some very iconic designs over the years....it's neat to see the TASC units with the GMC chassis. I wish I had a time machine so I could dial back to the days of old. Imagine what it would be like to see a parade way back when this stuff was new!
