This Valatie Mack, George Murphy posted on the old board. This was in the Bay Shore FD on Long Island, replaced by a 1976 Mack CF 1500 gpm/500 gwt/40 gal foam.
According to Murph, Westbury FD purchased it from Valatie and refurbed it. And Valatie added a 1,000 gallon tank. Loved this rig. Dad drove it when I was a kid. Was a set ordered in 1958. The other went to North Carolina somewhere. Possibly Florida.
Kill 'em all, let Allah sort 'em out. NEVER forget 9/11/01 WTC, Pentagon, Pa. Avenge the acts with NO mercy.
Thanks to ALL the Brothers who were there 9/11/01 and afterwards. Words can never say what appreciation we have for you all.

Angelo cool pic, but you need to size it down a little bit. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> . That's the Garr's fire from 1988, isn't it? The lights of the christmas tree on the far right was my first clue! I was actually up at school when that one happened. PC just doesn't burn em like they used to do they? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Also if I remember correctly, didn't it say in the Patrol's little history book that the body was installed in 1971?
The Millwood Fire Co, Westchester Co/NY operated this 1959 Mack B 95 FSW, that was equipped with a coupe-cab. It had a 1000 gpm-pump and carried 1500 gallons of water and 40 gallons of foam. Is this great looking tanker still around ? Neal Van Deusen photo

[/quote] A few yrs ago, going to the wake of a 9/11 Brother. I saw a rig VERY similar to this sitting in a construction yard on the Suffern, NY/Mahwah, NJ Border (Jersey side) Cant say it is the rig, but a B model tandem isnt exactly a common model <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Stay safe, Brothers.
