I have not seen that logo for Childs before. Looks just like a Maxim one.

There is a '27 Childs chemical truck sitting in Lima, NY. Lima's Childs was the first motorized fire truck in Livingston County. Lima's current firehouse is on Main Street in the village of Lima. Forty Years ago, Lima's firehouse was Hayes & Andrews Ford, so the Childs sits in what used to be the showroom of what was once a car dealership.

definitely Portsmouth, NH......In Texas??? really??? Interesting.........Its a 1970 80' It DID NOT have a white cab when it served Portsmouth, however.......white over red, Tommy?? I can't remember, its been gone from the PFD for a long time......

Yeah, when it got refurbed back in the late 80's it came back with a white over red cab...well what little cab could be painted white like the windshield and stuff like that. They also replaced the original clear lensed triple beam rotators with the red lensed ones with the double beams

I found this Hendrickson/American/LTI tandem axle quint along US 60 near Paducah, KY. A very early LTI, if anyone knows its origin. The manufacturers plate show it to be a 1976 model.

Can you possibly tell me where this is currently located and for sale?

I track the history of fire apparatus that formerly served in the St. Louis Metro area and would like to find out where this lands.

If possible, please respond to my home email: fireapparatusfan@swbell.net.

Thanks!

I found these 6 trucks at a trailer sales company off Highway 11 near Campobello, SC yesterday. The owner is trying his hand at selling used fire apparatus.

82-101 was delivered to the Cabin John Park FD in Bethesda, MD in 1973, one of two Model P82-1250D-5 pumpers ordered. This one ran as Engine 301 and was later refurbed by Mt. Aetna.
