Great Shots Lindsey, I've been through Paducah, TX many a time. Nice little town. The Pink Heals chapter here in Perryton's pink rig is from Paducah. The Paducah Fire department donated the truck to Pink Heals for a dollar or something like that when it was replaced by the rig you posted above.

Thanks for sharing.

I would like to see the Pink Heals Rig. It appears that it would fit in this thread.

Just noticed that both sides L & R of equipment compartments are body work by Pierce. The lap doors, drip rail, tread plate flare on top of the compartments, Slam D-handle latches, brown/chrome marker tag above the rear electrical outlet, and brake arrow tail lights. All of the Mack CF's that I have seen until the late 1970s had the trailer tail lights extending on a piece of thin metal from the side of the rear body. The inside rear body including the rear compartment appears to the Mack. Could the side compartments suffered rust damage?

Great Find Lindsay, thanks again for sharing your photos love seeing the full apparatus detail of the lone star state.

Rick:

I saw a Pierce logo on the pump panel but paid no attention to it.

The rework of the cabinets may have been due to rust as it came from PA.

This is only the third yellow apparatus I have taken pictures of. I normally don't shoot yellow, but since it is a Mack....

Lindsay.

I have found the same plaque on a number of appratus with a Pierce refurb #'s. I would agree the rust most likely nessitated the refurbish. I find it intresting however that they just replaced the compartments and not the entire body. Most of the body refurbish included the entire rear body. thanks again keep up the good work.

Stay Safe,
