Quote:Need some help on this one......I know it's an L A County FD Station, just not sure which one.....I'm thinking Station 36.......photo circa 80's from the Clark Martin, Jr (RIP) collection
I think it's Station 105 in Rancho Dominguez (Carson area)
Still looking at my files, as to the ID of the pic of your FS 36. As you can see, current FS 36 that I posted does not have the door to the right of the apparatus bay. We will figure this out one way or the other.
yep, I was just looking at Google Earth and noticed the same thing....thanks !
Remember, it's their Emergency, not yours ! Arrive Alive !

LACoFD Station 105
Rancho Dominguez
Engine 105 HM 105 Deluge 105.
This was shot about 3 yrs ago. Notice the power lines to the right side are there in both shots. I'm thinking that the earlier shot was taken prior to them getting the bread truck that they used prior to their current rig. Originally they used a reserve Paramedic squad. And they may have bricked off that door as well. HM 105 was running with a reserve bread truck when I shot this.
Your shot of old 60s is rather special. It has both of the engines from Emergency in it. The Ward was unofficially E260. Had a pic of it labeled as such at a muster in the Carson area just before it left for service at Yosemite NP. Both rigs are at the LA County Fire Museum with Squad 51.

LA City Station 9 - 430 East 7th St. (Skid Row - ooops, we can't say that anymore, right?) - When I took this they had TF9, RA9 and RA209 (and maybe even RA809), not sure what they have now.
Notice that I kept moving when I took it - Didn't feel like getting out in that particular neighborhood.

John,
As of the closure of companies in July '11, 9s has Engine 9 Truck 9, Rescues 9, 209 & 809. Truck 9 is the only Truck Company that runs alone in the city. They replaced E 209 with Rescue 809. I agree with you about parking or even stopping to get ANY kind of pics. NOT a nice part of town!!
