Bill, nice job with the photos. Please keep them posted. As for the Pleasant Valley rescue, I was too quick to realize that it was only painted the Hamerly way. I forgot about their engine. Hope all is well. Stop up to the northern end of the county sometime.

yes , stickney had their station closed, in 2006 convention they had the alf draped in black as wwell as all their badges, the fire co gave this engine to neighboring newport twp fire dept with the stipulation stickney name was to remain on it, if/when they didn't want it it was to come back to the stickney membership, who kept charter still active,for them to decide on its final dispostition.it is a complicated arrangement in nanticoke city they have 6 vol companies but have paid drivers at the headquarter station but somehow have it in their contract that the vol.s can't respond until called,their personell are to respond to all calls but their piece is not to go until called for, i know it sounds as complicated as it is,the only stipulation was if the call is in their first due area, then they are "aloud" to respond their piece, the city owns the quint & engine in hheadquarters, #1 (stickney & #5 (Washington) both sold the apparatus they had after the city closed their stations & paying utilities/insurance on them, they were given the "option" to move their piece to headquarters where the carrer firefighters would use them as they saw fit, so 1 &5 both decided rather than have their stuff used by someone BUT them they sold it or donated it , #4 hanover still has a city owned piece a '74 hahn still in service, #6 (honey pot) which has always been independent of city still has their station they own as well as the engine they own

What kind of freaking dufus would buy that Honey Pot engine? Ugly as sin, bad power steering pump, crack in the tank, a light up 6 on the back compartment door in marker lights.. God bless and save the moron who would have bought that. I hope it wasn't one of our fire apparatus photographers, I will have to have a talk with them!!!!

This is a photo of the Sunset Fire in North Lebanon Township, Leb. PA.

In this photo on the left is Ebenezer Fire Co. Engine 9, which appears to be a Seagrave, possibly open cab,

white over red. Does anyone have info on this Rig?

I believe the photo is from the Lebanon Daily News.

I believe the Seagrave pumper from Ebenezer was sold to Harwood Fire Co., Hazle Twp., Luzerne County, PA. I know I have a few photos of it at Harwood, I'll need to dig through some albums to find the prints.

sounds like whoever bought it didn't look it over good enough!!!!after all it is a 1965 what would one expect a freakin warranty???

I watched it. Wasn't much of a "feature". Then again, you can't restore a fire engine in under a week!



Bruco built a handful of those big sedan cab pumpers. Way cool!

One WOULD expect a warranty, it is after all a 2005 when you come down to it (well, the Power Steering is a 1984, the tank is still a 1965 LOL).... either way I am just poking fun at my little monster. It is a fun little piece, just needs a couple of things replaced/redone.... hoping to have it fixed by next year and out on the parade/muster circuit.

THE KENNETT SQUARE PIECE WAS IN A PLACE IN LOUISIANNA THAT HAD A LOT OF VINTAGE CARS. IT WAS BOUGHT BY THE GUYS THAT DO THE SHOW. THEY WERE GOING TO TURN INTO A MOTORCYCLE HAULER FOR A FRIEND OF THEIRS.

I'd have sworn that I saw these two oldies from Kutztown somewhere on here in the past, but a search of "Apparatus Photos" came up with nothing.



Anyway, Kutztown Eng 46A was a 1968 American LaFrance 1250/500.
