CustomFire as sold by Red Sky?
Taylor Goodman
Captain - Henrico County (VA) Division of Fire
Fire Chief - Huguenot VFD, Powhatan, VA
yep, They wanted it built on Spartan chassis, Redsky/Custom had the lowest bid w/Spartan chassis
KME was the lowest bid, but Chandler wanted a Spartan chassis , The Pierce & Spartan/ERV bids were too high
to even be considered. The 3 lowest bids were only considered
Also Avondale's got a new KME utility on order

Staion 198 is in the City's capital plan for something like 2018. I can look tomorrow. However, I really doubt it's going to be in Vistancia, since 196 is up there and they don't turn a wheel too much. The only thing I've ever heard about the next Peoria station is farther north on Lake Pleasant Parkway, around Lone Mountain Parkway/Westwing Parkway, or maybe a little farther north at the Loop 303. That puts it about 3 miles north of 195, or just short of halfway to SR74/Carefree Highway.

After checking the CIP schedule, FS198 is scheduled for construction in FY19... All it says is "northwest part of the city." Kinda vague, so I don't think an exact location has been established. It was originally slated for FY17, but got pushed back because of the economy. However, based on how much growth has restarted, I would be surprised if it can wait until FY19.
Any rumors , what's next, A replacement for L191? New engines for E196 & E197 to match the other 5

The last L191 (1988-ish LTI Olympian) lasted until 2003. Ladder 191 is only a 2003, so it should be around for some time.
Engine 196 is a 2005 and 197 is a 2007, so they're still current. The next purchases are two new BC trucks, probably Ford diesels like the current 2006 F-350's. One of the two 2003 Ford F-550/E-One brush trucks is going to get a new chassis. I've heard rumors of a Dodge. Not sure if that's true. The other one I have no idea. After that, everything is pretty new.

I haven't heard anything, and given Glendale's financial situation, I'd be surprised if they have anything coming. But, you never know.
Thanks for the info, Anyword if Phoenix is getting anything ?
Last I heard, they were getting 2 or 3 new Lt's to replace the ones from the 90's
Were suppose to be the same specs as the last 5 Freightliner/Pierce's
also Engine 9 got totaled ?
Also SkyHarbor just got a another new Striker 8X8 For F-1
and got another New Striker 4X8 Striker with a Snozzle for F-3
earlier this year, Do they still have the old Strikers and if they still
have them, with F-2's Striker, that would give them 5 Strikers
(2 with Snozzles) ?

I'm not sure about the Strikers at Sky Harbor. The first 3 were Striker 4500's for F1, 2 and 3. But, I noticed that F3 got a Striker 3000 with a Snozzle about a year ago, so where did their 4500 go? Sky Harbor only has 4 heavy crash rigs, with Attack 19 (runs as an RIV) having a circa 2005 E\-One Titan 8x8. So, I would guess that all 4 heavy crash rigs now have Strikers, with the fifth one probably being a reserve. However, that's just my speculation.

They just got the New Striker 4500 about a month ago, It was paid for with a ticket surcharges
it was numbered F-1. Also Mesa approved the bonds, They are going to buy a bunch of new rigs over the
next 2 years, build new station 221 in Eastmark & build replacement Station 203 on Broadway

Hey guys....I recently visited station 19 sky harbor the guys told me old foam 3 4500 is now attack 19.
The new 6x6 striker nozzle truck is the new foam 3.
The new 4500 replaces older striker foam 1 which becomes a spare rig.
The e-ones rigs are to be sold.

Good info! Thanks for that. Sounds like Sky Harbor's fleet is in great shape.
Does the spare striker got a number F-4 ?
Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport is suppose to be getting a new striker w/snozzle for F-215 and the old F-215 will become
F-235, Also Attack 215 is getting a Pierce Mini Pumper soon

No I don't think spare striker rig will be numbered as just a spare rig. Foam 1 2 3 are frontline rigs and old foam 3 is new attack 19 truck.

Thanks, that makes sense; kind of what I figured had happened.
So, to break it down, here are Sky Harbor's crash rigs, by station. Note, this doesn't include the Arizona ANG base on the south side of the field.
Station 19:
Attack 19 - Striker 4500
Foam 1 - Striker 4500
Foam 3 - Striker 3000 w/Snozzle
Reserve - Striker 4500 (x-Foam 1)
Station 29:
Foam 2 - Striker 4500 w/Snozzle
BTW, is Engine 19 still running with an ALF, or did they get a Quantum?
