Some reserves have the current light-bar (the one on the new KME's) but I guess it has to break before the city will update it.

Yust a short question for one, who isn't so familiar with the PFD. What is the different between a Pipeline and an Engine?
Thank's!

although i dont know the specifics, but pipelines carry more 5" than the engine co's. thats pretty much the only differance
The pipeline carries 1500' of 5" and the engine company carries 1000' of 5".
Also some of the Alf's that were ordered from the 07 era had leds in the lightbar. They were not retrofitted.

Snorkel 2 & 28 are the front line sI believe.
There are currently 2 front line Snorkels in the PFD, which would be 2 and 28. Both are 1997 KME's. Snorkel 2's boom was remounted from a 1982 ALF Snorkel, and Snorkel 28's was remounted from a 1978 ALF Snorkel. There is a 3rd Snorkel, a 1995 Pierce, which was assigned to Snorkel 5 and then later went to Snorkel 28 while their KME was at KME for repairs. That is currently just sitting at the shops and will most likely never see another assignment.

Thanks for info. Is that a former pole hole in the pic of SNK 28 in the station ?
No, It appears to be the holes they made to put in the new ventilation system a few years ago. |
