Any chance you have photos with compartments opened? Really like the size and layout of this rig. Curious how much room is in the compartments.

Hmmm, I might have a couple, but I didn't think to take any yesterday. I'll get with the shop and see about going back and getting them. They're starting training on it next week, so I'll have to ask.

I know Phoenix is periodically taking delivery of new Freightliner/Pierce rigs, but don't know who is getting them. I think LT9 was mentioned above. I know a few have been delivered to LT11, LT20, LT24, but really don't know about any of the others. Those IHC/E-One's have lasted forever. As far as the West Valley, Peoria's two LT's are 2008's, so they'll be around a while. Glendale's are less than 4 years old, too. Surprise has a mid-2000's E\-One, Sun City has a 2006 Pierce Quantum, Sun City West has a Spartan/SVI, Avondale doesn't run an LT, Goodyear runs a pumper as an LT. East Valley, I really don't know. They do things a little differently over there... Mesa runs squad-type rigs, rather than typical LT's (I think), Scottsdale doesn't run any (as far as I know), Tempe has Freightliner/Pierce's like Phoenix, Chandler; don't know, Gilbert runs Kenworth/Pierce LT's. Hope that helps.

Went back down to the shops on Friday.
Peoria's new Engine 199 (Engine 9) is a 2013 Freightliner M2-106 with Rosenbauer bodywork. This rig is a Type 3x-sized interface rig with Type 1 equipment and capabilities (pump/tank/hose/ladders).
First up - The front end:

Each side is equipped with 100' reel of 1 1/2" with a breakaway nozzle, for adding additional sections of hose.

Pump panel - The pump is a Waterous CX 1000gpm with pump & roll
750 gwt, 50 gallons of A, 150 CFM CAFS
After years of Peoria following Phoenix's lead on rear mount pumps with electric valves, with the last 6 pumpers purchased (all from Rosenbauer), it's back to tried and true panels.

Hose bed and coffin compartments:
Left to right on top are 1) Left coffin compartment - Empty but will probably carry long tools and personal gear for wildland deployments, 2) 2 1/2" / 1000' of 4" (with room to spare) / 2 1/2" with gated wye to dual 1 3/4" attack lines, 3) Right hand coffin compartment carries hard suctions.

With no tailboard to mount anything on, they had to come up with a way to mount the Humat with 4" connected, as is the standard here:
You just unbuckle the strap and pull it straight off. The holder on the left has adapters, necessary for Phoenix hydrants.

Ladder compartment -
This is one of the ways this rig meets the Type 1 spec - 24', 14' and 10' folding. The 24' foot is too long for the body, but they figured out a way to get it in...more on that.

As is typical, most fire apparatus don't carry spare tires. But as Peoria is a member of the Central Arizona Wildland Response Team (CAWRT), this rig is a deployable asset for wildland. So, it has to have a spare tire if it deploys. However, Rosenbauer doesn't offer that capability. So the shop crew came up with a mount under the back end that will allow a spare to be carried, and a winch above it to hoist it into position. Pretty clever. This rig won't carry the spare during day to day use, but will be able to take it along if it gets deployed, without taking up space elsewhere on the rig.

Another clever feature - Foam tank fill inlet that you don't have to climb up to...
The supply line tray right below "floats"; it's not attached to anything, it just sits down in there, in case you hit a rock, etc... Easier to replace than the whole running board.
