Thought this was an interesting truck. Most of Franklin Community's district consists of rural water and access problems to the dry hydrants. So, FCVFD got a local company to build a flat bed and the members done the rest. This truck has a Cat Diesel engine to run the used Hale pump and the only equipment carried are six sections of hard suction, 200-300 feet of LDH with a manifold to fill mulitple tankers at once, a deck gun, and minimal hose adapters, wrenches, etc. Very neat little rig!

Winston-Salem FD Reserve Truck.
1992? Spartan/AI
1250/?
Found this in the back of Clemmons Station 14 a few weeks ago. Unknown why it was there. Spotted same rig today at WSFD Station 7. Rescue 7 was not seen. I'm thinking they were using this as a spare while Res 7 is in the shops.

Casey,
This unit is known as Reserve Truck 16 but is running as Truck 2 for the time being. Its a 1998 Spartan/Quality/AI 1500/400/75'.
A few months ago, mold was discovered in the $1.3 million station 2 built in 2004. When they discovered this, Engine 2 was relocated to Engine 10 and Truck 2 was moved to Engine 7/Rescue 1. Because Rescue 1s house is so small, T2 is running this truck temporarily instead of their Sutphen. Hope this makes sense.

I had seen the story in the media. Hope the mold issue is not too severe. I had wondered where they would relocate the rigs while the issue was being dealt with.
