Eagan MN 09-30-13 1255am-3rd Alarm House+M/A
#1
Eagan Station's 4 and 3 were sent to a Reported Structure Fire off of Spruce St in the Southeast section of the city. Chief 3/Fire Marshall went onscene with flames through the alpha side roof and requested a 2nd alarm. I went by Station 4 (First due Engine) just as they were pulling out of the barn so I followed them to the scene. crews were defensive for most of this Fire they did attempt an interior attack twice but withdrew due to the heavy volume of fire, and structural integrity.  eventually all 5 of Eagan's Fire Stations along with M/a from Rosemount with an Engine and Utility made it to the scene. Mendota Heights Fire assisted in covering Eagan for calls for the Morning. and Healtheast ambulance, Eagan PD also assisted on the scene. I left around 0300 and it appeared they were just getting the upper hand of it.

here is the First as I walked up just before the 2nd due Engine 3 arrived.

Josh as always excellent shots. Also great info.

It is good to see during this government shut down that NASA has reallocated some space helmets to local fire departments for continued field testing. I am only kidding. I just could not resist being a traditional Cairns N5A and 5A wearer.

Stay Safe,

I saw them too.  They're so incredibly comfortable, but I just can't make the leap...
