RESCUE 851 1994 KENWORTH/SAULSBURY DAVE BOWEN PHOTO
When I was at Joppa-Magnolia they said that this piece was sold to somewhere in Western Pa and responded to the Flight 93 incident. I can't for the life of me think of what department out that direction would have bought this rescue truck... any ideas?
Thats the first I heard that one Fritz
I am with you Patrick, stumped the hell out of me... they couldn't remember the name of the station it went to. The Joppa station I was at was NOT the department the rescue came from though, I was at the Fort Hanson station (as it is called) which butts up against the property of the Edgewood Arsenal. So maybe they got thier information wrong but everyone there claimed the same thing and claimed to see it in pictures of the incident?
Jennerstown maybe? Or Berlin? the only large rescue squads I know of are New Centerville and Conemaugh Twp

PATRICK, YOU AND I WERE AT BERLIN SEVERAL YEARS AGO. IT WASN'T THERE THEN.
Rumour has it that Berlin just bought a new 4wdr Squad . make ,model unknown .
Berlin had a nice IHC 4-Guys rescue when we visited last time. Wouldn't make sense to go backwards, but guess it does happen on occasion.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

Since this has bothered me since I first heard the information, I made a call to Joppa-Magnolia again to the station where the rescue truck was stationed. They said it went to a coal mine in WV for coal mine rescue use, so it would appear that I was given wrong information at the Fort Hansen Station in that it went to Western Pa.
I'm really glad you solved that mystery! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/popcorn.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
