In reference to the medical compartment, I believe it was because it took away too much room on the inside of the already small cab.

Maybe a Stupid question, but I will bite. How come one is Called a Water Tower, and the other is a Squrt are there any differences between the 2 Rigs? just curious?

Squrt is the brand name of the 54' boom that is on the truck. So they designated them "Squrt". The "Water Tower" rigs have 50' Snozzle brand booms. The PFD used to designated the Squrts "Tower Pumpers" so I believe that is why they are designated "Snozzle"
