I remember when Liberty Road had 2 Cadillac ambo's. They both were eventually sold to Randallstown Ambulance Service. I also remember the old days of the carnival parades in Baltimore and surrounding counties. Sure was lots of apparatus that showed up back in the day.

Sparrows Point Engine 2 was a 1936 Mack Type 45E, 500gpm pump and 200 gal. tank. This served Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point from 1936 to 1971, being replaced by a 1974 Ford C8000/Oren.
In your next post #2124, this pumper never was in service at Sparrows Point. It was privately owned by John Westbrooke, who had it lettered for Sparrows Point Engine 3. I don't remember where it originally served before John purchased it. Sparrows Point did have a 1941 Mack 80L which was similar to what John owned.

I believe the Brockway is Laurel, MD. The "garage" with ALF sitting in it, was used by Laurel from 1929 to 1935. There is an artists' sketch of it in the Laurel VFD 100th anniversary book referred to as the the "Potato Cellar".
Laytonsville's Brockway had the number "1" on the side of the seat. Laurel's had "No.1" on the tank behind the seat.
Also, LDVFD was used by Laytonsville District VFD, LVFD by Laurel VFD.

Body of Laurel's Brockway bought by Laurel VRS in 1952, rebuilt on a 1949 chassis into 1st squad rig, later rebuilt again and remounted on a 1954 Ford, replaced 1957. (LVRS 50 yr. history)
AFAIK, the Laytonsville Brockway was originally Hyattstown,MD. and was bought by Laytonsville in 1954, it was in storage when LDVFD's original station burned in 1965.

[/quote] That would be Snyder Body of Greenmount, just outside of Hampstead, Md on Rt. 30.They also built the body for Arbutus 1958 Dodge chassised rescue truck. C&D Door Co. is in the former Snyder building now.
Just noticed on Pierce's flicker web site that there are two white over red Pierce Ladders for PG County. They appear to be county rigs. When did they decide to switch back to red?
