If mermory serves me correctly, this engine was most likely purchased from a dealer that was located within its own township, New Jersey Fire Equipment, owned by the late Ernie Day, who was dedicated to the fire service and also a collector of antique apparatus.   Among the apparatus firms NJFE has been a dealer for since 1930 include Ward LaFrance, Oren / Great Eastern, Peter Pirsch, and presently Sutphen.  www.njfe.com
