Anybody know the status of the new tower for Alexandria?? Haven't been able to find anything regarding it on websites. Would figure by now that it was almost done, but nothing on the Spartan ERV under Progress page.
I have not heard about Alexandria getting a new tower yet. I have heard rumors but haven't actually heard of them starting a process on a new one.

Alexandria has on order :
Five (5) 2013 Spartan Gladiator / Custom Fire Pumpers 2000gom/750gwt (due in March) One (1) 2013 Spartan Gladiator / Custom Fire 100' Mid-Mount Tower Four (4) 2013 International TerraStar / Horton Ambulances Info from Fire & EMS Virginia magazine, Jan/Feb edition.
Remember, it's their Emergency, not yours ! Arrive Alive !
Should be a Spartan ERV tower. I checked all over and can't find anything about it. The tiller was delivered. Figured it wouldn't be far behind.

Shoop is correct. Here is the list from the January/February issue of Fire & EMS Virginia. Information on these deliveries has been hard to obtain.

Jerry

TBA: Alexandria/TBA: (5) Spartan Gladiator/Custom Fire 2000/750/25/75 due March
TBA: 2013 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson 100’midmount tower (4) 2013 International TerraStar/Horton #623T Quote:Sandy Springs Fire Rescue was launched in 2006 and is running over 10,000 runs annually from four stations, protecting a population of almost 100,000. I am not the least bit surprised that the rigs are wearing out. Most silly managers, I mean city managers, are nothing but bullies and certainly not problem solvers. If Chief Fish has to make cuts, he'll probably cut Engine 2 first. It's the busier of the two engines, but Engine 1 runs out of a nearby Roswell station part of the time, to reduce response times to a section of Sandy Springs that is remote from their stations. The City of Sandy Springs has never built a fire station, they incorporated their city limits and took over three Fulton County stations and one Atlanta station. Dave - what I said occurred in Richmond and not Sandy Springs. SS will be buying the following: Two (2) Pumpers Four (4) Quints - 3 will have 105’ Ladder - 1 will have 100’ Platform

Didn't sandy springs buy all their trucks new in 2006?
Quote:Didn't sandy springs buy all their trucks new in 2006? Yes but they have high mileage and they will trade them in when they get new rigs.

I am trying to remember where I saw this but sometime later this year, which sounded like summer or fall.
