Old Engine 57

1966 Seagrave

This engine was sold to Zeager Brothers saw mill in Londonderry Township in 1993. In 2001, Zeager Brothers donated the engine back to the Liberty Fire Company and today it is used as a parade piece.

This is a picture of it when it was in service.

I think I can answer the unknown photographer on this, the Ladder, and the Scope, all photographed at the Hershey Parade, back in the early 90's by myself. I am at work and would have to look through my slides but I am 99% positive they are mine. Not sure why I am patting myself on the back for parade photos, but I think I posted those on centralpafire back a couple years ago in a LONG central pa relics type thread.

This Engine was then repainted at some point in it's life at Highspire, to this:

These are not the same 2 engines. The top photo is mine and was taken somewhere between 1988-1993 at Hershey's parade, as was several of the photos you posted. The engine in the top photo is a Hamerly, the engine on the bottom, I think is an American Lafrance. Again since I am at work I don't have information available to me.

in the post after this, of the other Highspire Ford C engine, that one was sold to Lairdsville, Lycomiong county and has since been placed out of service and I believe sold for parts to local farmers.
