Commercial canopy cab apparatus
I like how the crew box fits nicely under the Telesqurt.

Custom Fire Apparatus also built their own version of the crew box/pump module like General Safety.  This rig was originally built by Pierce and later stretched to accomodate the module by Custom Fire

Aw, man!  You beat me to it.  I was going to post this one tomorrow, but in its second life.  I see you didn't go all the way to California to get this shot of it!

GO AHEAD AND POST THE OTHER LIFE. IT WAS EASIER TO DRIVE 45 MINUTES INSTEAD OF 3 DAYS.

Quote:Yes, there is a lot of glare on that shot.  It was taken in the 1985-1986 timeframe, with an old 110 camera.  Not my best shot, but I never saw that rig again, either.  Hondok is correct, that is a Federal Twinsonic, mounted low to clear the station doorway.

Thanks. Funny how the brain works, with that bit of info I can clearly see it is a twin sonic but until you said that it looked like a white box and I never would have guessed it was a light bar.

The Elk Grove rig became Tanker 20 of the East Pennsboro Township FD in Summerdale, PA.  Dave's shot and mine were taken only a few feet apart, note the buildings in the background.  Very few Van Pelt apparatus have made it east of the Mississippi.  This was the first one I ever shot.
