Another large commercial chassis builder is Freightliner.  The "low cab forward" Model FLL was not a common apparatus chassis in the US, but was fairly popular in Canada.

On my only visit to Hamilton, one station officer told me of a department policy that forbid pulling apparatus outside for photos.  He would only allow me to photograph them where they were.  I did the best I could, as these were apparatus you don't see everyday.  At the next station, I was advised that he was a liar and no such policy existed.

Most Freightliner FL-70/80 series rigs are either standard cabs or sedan cabs, but Central States enclosed the crew and the pump panel inside the body on this one.
