In the late 1990's, Ford sold its Louisville heavy truck line to Diamler Trucks, who continued to market the line under the Sterling name.

Dave - I have it originally from Cleveland - you can confirm it was Fairfield ?

Seagrave65 - do you happen to know who what Adams did with it ?

My info below.

Thanks,

Bruce

Quote:The B model Mack Harwick rescue truck is a 1958. It is currently being restored to it original condition at Lee"s in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersy and should be back in Wyndmoor soon. Besides Wyndmoor and Mount Carbon, this truck also served for a short while in Columbia boro (Pa.) as their water rescue unit. Does anyone have any information or pictures of it then? If so please post them.Hopefully, this piece will be seen making the Delaware valley muster scene soon.
All,

This is what I have on this rig.

Someone sent me the HS number, HS-769, several years ago.  That unit was delivered new to Fairfield, OH.  Cleveland, OH never had any Sutphen apparatus built on the GMC H-Series chassis.  As far as I know, it is currently collector owned.  BTW, it is not a steel aerial, Sutphen Aerials are aluminum, always have been.

Here's an oddball.  For a short time, International and Nissan teamed up and offered this small tilt-cab chassis.

The final group of apparatus that I'll post here come from the PACCAR Group (Pacific Car and Foundry), better known to us as Kenworth and Peterbilt.
