My department bought a truck just like this back in the late 1990's only it was on a mack r chasis. My department had the tank cut down from 6500 to 4400 gallons. Ill look at my notes and see if I can find the builder information. These trucks were built ffor the USAF and were for refuling.

That's an Oshkosh R-11 refueling truck. Oshkosh built this particular model between 1989 and 1991. The later two generations were built by KME on Mack and IHC chassis later in the 90's.
