Hey Dave. Good to hear from you, youve been kinda quiet around here.
I think Affton might be getting ready to replace 1124. Right now two of their reserve Ford C's are for sale. Also they have a website now it's www.afftonfire.com
Phil, I am on Logan-Rogersville FPD. Shawn Bittle, who runs with 28, used to be on LR back in the day. He brings the Explorers down every summer. Told me when I wanted to come up and ride with them. I might take him up on it some day.
Next on my way home, I was heading down Lindbergh when I came to Mueller, the road Mehville #5 is. So I decided to turn down to see if any other trucks were at the station for training. As I was going down the road they began to pull the platform out. Then I sat across the street snapping a few pics.
The firemen saw getting my shots and they signaled for me to come over, I wasnt going to turn down the opportunity. I needed some shots of the rescue truck and engine. Then they began pulling the ambulance out as well.
I know, I know...its an indoor shot, but it didnt turn out too bad. The lighting is actually better for this shot than the outdoors. They offered to pull the rescue out, but I said it was good where it was. To pull it out they would have had to move the ambulance parked out front. I thought it might be a bit of a hassle.
Here is the engine. Also indoor, but would have been worse outside. I believe this engine may have a new one on order. Their bays actually arent too bad for indoor shots.
I know ive posted this before, but these are better shots.
