I'm pretty sure that Clymer piece was owned by East Lansdowne, PA at some point.
reckscoop,
You are correct - but did you know it was first owned by Yeadon ! Read below: 1964 GMC 4000 V-6/Morysville, full cab, 350/300, custom full-width side compartmented open rescue body, originally purchased by Yeadon (Delaware County, PA), sold in 1978 to East Lansdowne (Delaware County, PA) who repainted it, they sold it in 1985 to Clymer (Indiana County, PA), who might have sold it by 2000 to Elizabeth Twp. (Allegheny County, PA).

I suspect that Dawson,PA. in Fayette Co., is the origin of the Gmc tanker, which looks like a combo of old pump, tank, and body. They sure did not have it when I first went there in 93.
Gettysburg's ladder was retired for mechanical reasons in Jan./07. It will be replaced with a new Seagrave 100ft. Harmar Twp.'s squad may be a Bruco???

Warren Gleitsmann photo
Can you figure out the color? I know I am color blind but to me that truck looks pink. Just wanted to check. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />
Wellsville/PA had this interesting 1970 Gerstenslager rescue, that was built on an International chassis. Originally it was in service in Centereach/Long Island. I like these bookmobile style custom-rescues very much.
Warren Gleitsmann photo
It's an awesome looking rig, definitely something different. Would love to add something like that to my collection. |
