I woke up this morning to bright sunlight and blue skiy and decided to catch up on some rigs in the Chattanooga area.  I had a list of new rigs and refurbed rigs as the day's targets, located at 8 stations in three FD's. 

 

First up is the Tri-Community FD, based in Collegedale, TN.  I posted a large number of their rigs back in November, 2011 in this thread, beginning with post #2396.  Here are the updates:

This was the rig I posted in #2396, but it has been refurbed.  The entire pump housing has been redesigned and the hose bed extensions were removed.  Warning lights were also upgraded to LEDs.

I posted this one in #2418, when it was an aerial.  After the aerial failed testing, it was removed and the apparatus was converted into a confined space rescue.  The former Rescue 1288 (x-Lutherville, MD/x-Ocean Pines, MD) has been removed from service.

Another big change to Tri-Community was the addition of Station 2, located in the northern part of their territory.  It houses Tanker 1252 (the former Engine 1254, post #2410) and the pumper below.

The Mack Aerialscope (post #2419) was replaced with this rig, also purchased used from an unknown location.  The aerial on this rig was built at Structural Fabrications, Inc (SFI) exclusively for Pierce.
