We won't be chasing any fires. We are just staying over in Philadelphia and wanted to visit a station or 2 and maybe get some rig photos. Thanks for the information.
Also going along with what PFDBUFF said along the lines of "what kind of a mood they are in", keep in mind that-
-I will NOT air any of their dirty laundry, but morale is very very low right now within the PFD. Bad moods could very well be the norm rather than the exception. Just something to keep in mind.
-NEVER NEVER knock on a station door with your hands- you should be knocking with your elbows, because your hands should be full of cakes and pies or other goodies.
Your guess is correct. There were six of these rigs delivered to the Philadelphia Bureau of Fire in 1914. The bodies were built by International on the Mack chassis. They were assigned as the hose wagons to Engines 1,2,19,29,43,and 54.

I worked there in 1987-1988 all 3 engines were still there, still crap. (Same as the aerial) See post #157 to 161 on this thread!
The Seagrave was a little nicer than the FTI pumpers. The inside of the cabs were a mint green color?
Mint green? ...lol...Com'on, we don't have mint green in the Navy....the Navy officially calls it "sea foam" green....lol....I'm glad that the Navy has switched back to red apparatus. The safety yellow wasn't too bad, but I never did like the slime.
That FTI Ladder was out of service and parked in the motor pool junkyard by the time I got hired. We had the Ward Lafrance/Maxim (Ex- Sub Base, Groton) Ladder when I was there. Coincidentally which I just learned last week, that the New Jersey Forest Fire Service got a hold of, removed the stick and body, and installed a flatbead to carry one of their smaller dozers around on. That was a cool ladder truck, you could hear that 8V92 DD from a mile away!

Yes thats the one......PNSY had it painted slime lime to match the other rigs. As for the other pix, it looks like I could very well have been the one that pulled the rigs out that day....looks about the time I worked there, minus the Truck. I was a victim (11 of us) of the RIF when they eliminated the Truck Co.
