There older Rigs will be be reassigned as Backup Pumpers and Second out Pumpers.........As for E3s 2009 Quantum it will become the second out unit at Station 6.Most of the older rigs will be sold.

Has Richmond ordered or do they have plans to order any new rigs in the near future?

Thanks in advance.

Trey, thanks for sharing some of your photos and for keeping the Virginia thread relavent. It appears you are the only Virginia photographer shooting anything.

jshippey, you should have a subscription to Fire & EMS Virginia. We have provided complete coverage of the 10 new ambulances and all the fire apparatus delivered in Hampton. We let our readers know the transfers related to the new deliveries being placed in service, complete with the units being moved to reserve and being placed out of service.

Over the last two years, they put into service 4 1500-470-105' Quints, 2 1500-470-75' Quints, 2 Heavy Rescues, two 1500-470-40 Pumpers. There may be new money coming in July 1st for some more apparatus, but as everything else looks, it doesn't look good right now.
