Garage, House & Boats Burn in Portland 7-15-13

Shortly after noon, at 1233, Dispatch began to receive many calls for a fire at 1919 NE 138th Place and

they transmitted a box. Responding companies were E30, 7, 12, 19, Truck 2, C3 and C4. Enroute, the

companies could see a large column of black smoke from a long distance. First arriving Engine 30 reported

fire in an attached garage, also involving 2 boats and a falling power line.

Rehab 10 and Truck 7 were special called.

Engine 30 began fire attack with hand lines.

The fire had extended into the house as Engine 30 ran their deck gun to knock down the heavy fire in the garage.

The boats contained a lot of fuel that was hard to extinguish.
