Littleton, CO Condo Fire 9/13/14

At 04:29 Littleton Firefighters were dispatched to a smoke condition inside 7110 S Gaylord Way, Building K.  Upon arrival first due Engine & Medic 15 found a working fire in a first floor unit, declared an offensive strategy and pulled a 1 3/4" line for fire attack & search.  Upon forcing entry heavy fire and smoke vented out and was quickly knocked down.

   

 

15's worked the fire unit while Squirt 12 & Engine 17 conducted primary's in the exposure units.

Squirt 12 set up for aerial operations on the Alpha side. 

   

 

Smoke extension in the second floor and in the attic was found but the fire was held to the unit of origin.

Battalion Chief 1 in command on Alpha, Battalion 32 was assigned as the Charlie Division

Engine 14 on the Charlie Side, Squirt 12's aerial can be seen above the roof.

   

 

Pretty quick incident, companies starting going in service within 45 minutes.
