Because he drives like an idiot!!!!    They removed the lettering on the previous one, and they haven't lettered this one.  I have voiced my opinions to the powers that be.... If I am not mistaken, volunteer apparatus are under the county insurance policy.... C-11 has had many complaints concerning his driving... I cannot understand why Orchard Beach is allowed to keep an UNMARKED vehicle.  The only reason I can figure, is that the public cannot identify the vehicle easily to complain about the way it is driven.  JUST FOR THE RECORD... I respect the fact that he is a volunteer and responds to the calls..... but if he causes another incident on the way to the call, then what good is he?????  He has to drive with sense... Sorry to go into a rant..... this is a pet peeve of mine.  I have witnessed a few near misses from C-11 and his driving... He is definitely not on my "good side"

The is a push by DHS for PD / FD staff vehicles to be unmarked (for security purposes) because they usually aren't parked at a specific station.  I just heard that from a batallion chief the other day.
