Iowa Rigs

Next is Ladora, Iowa, located in Iowa County one town west of Marengo, the county seat.

Ladora has five rigs, but only use three.  This is their unlettered grass rig.

Engine 1 is their nice Howe, which has a bad order starter and couldn't be moved the day I visited.

This is their First Responder rig, which replaced an older rig which was stolen and wrecked last year. 

 

Ladora has 283 residents.

Anyone know the history of this one?  My department (North Park, IL) had a bunch of Howes.  I always wondered where they ended up.  This one looks too nice to have been one of ours once we were done with them.
