That's a 1937 Chevrolet.

That is a L model International, probably a L-160. The L model was built from 1950 to 1952.

This Intl L-series was purchased new by Norriton Fire Engine Co.-Penn Square (Montgomery Co.),PA. The chassis was purchased in July, 1952 from G.L.Sayre-Intl dealership in Conshohocken,PA. It was then sent to Harwick Mfg.Co.-West Point,PA where the body was built including a 60 psi Hardie high-pressure pump and a 1000 gal tank. It was painted red. In 1969 it was purchased by Washington FC-Conshohocken (Montgomery Co.),PA where it was repainted yellow as in the photo. In 1977 it was sold to an individual.

The last time I saw this was about 8 years ago being used by a mining company as a utulity truck.

Some no so happy additional info on the Lancaster City tiller:



1951 Peter Pirsch, semi-cab tractor, 85 ft aluminum tiller trailer, cost $29,427. It was placed into service on 1/19/51 as Truck “A”. Sold to Progress-Paxtonia (Dauphin County) in 1973. In 1986 at the Paxtang Daily Market Fire, a rotary gear broke and it was retired from service. On 7/10/93 it was owned by the Clear Spring VFC of Hagerstown, Md as an antique, it was being driven to the 18th Annual Penna. Pump Primers Muster in Harrisburg on I-81 near Shippensburg, the universal joint broke and the driveshaft pulled the fuel line from the tank which caused the rig to loose its brakes and start a fire from the tractor back through the trailer - Eric Russell the driver was killed when the rig crashed and he was thrown under the wheels - tillerman Jeffery Jenkins was seriously burned.
