Former ALF demo truck
#40107.  The year of production was listed on the sticker was 2007.  When did Valley Hill get this one?  Was the refurb done in 2009?

Quote:This is quite possibly the last or definitely one of the last aerials ALF ever produced.  It was almost done when ALF folded, so LTI completed the rest of the production for them.

The L.T.I. # is 1100271.  The stickers that usually have the other info were never applied to this rig, but the Chief told me that it is stamped under the cab.  He didn't have the time to raise the aerial and the cab to get it, but has it on his home computer and will send it to me.  Check the Scuttlebut threads to see what else he told me about L.T.I. and L.T.C.

Dave, thanks for the info!!  I'm not sure when the refurb was done, but I believe it was in the 2011-2012 timeframe.  Did Etowah's Chief ever send you that info on their Ladder?

Here are a few more rigs I managed to shoot the other day.  As much as I wanted to get this one outside, it was out of service for mechanical problems and couldn't be moved that day.  Maybe another day.

This one was a surprise.  I'd heard that Sylva was getting a new engine, but I didn't expect it to be there last week when I visited.

If any of you have ever shot the fleet of Cashiers-Glenville, NC, you may recognize this truck.  Sylva got it from them a few years ago.

The sun had already started setting, but I went on to Cherokee in hopes of finding their two new Smeal engines in service.

Here are a few more I took this past Saturday.  The weather wouldn't cooperate, but I'm thankful to have shot these rigs anyhow.  A photo beats no photo!

Andrew,

Another one headed your way, was originally purchased by the Eagle FC (Bucks County, PA), sold last year to Brindlee Mtn. I believe, sold recently to the Fleetwood Fire & Rescue (Ashe County, NC) a 2006 GMC 5500/Pierce, 2-door, 4x4, mini-pumper, 500/250/30A, 6KW diesel generator, CAFS - never really worked out for New Hope I believe - not what they expected.
