My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing. [/quote] Quote: I asked them about an officer's side pump panel/intake area and they said there was none.. it is all compartments over there. As for what might be in the first compartment of Engine 49-1, the only thing I can even begin to imagine would be a pressurized water can. Not so sure anything else would fit in there LOL </div> </blockquote>
Id say its a side dump for tanker operations
Quote:Id say its a side dump for tanker operationsBased on the info on their website, I would agree with you, however it doesn't look to be high enough off the grould to be a 10" dump, even though the website states that the rig has three of them.
let me know when you go taking photos maybe I can tag along...

Great shots the Monessen Fire Department, is that the entire fleet or are some mia?
A fine question, this was all the apparatus from the downtown station... The Hilltop station has a KME Tele-Squrt and a Spartan Evolution Rescue-Engine. The Hilltop station is a separate station from the downtown station and there is some shall we say bad feelings between the two. So no driver at Hilltop, also there are at least 3 antiques.. Our driver was not on the approved list to move them sadly.
Oh gezzzz why cant we all just get along lol
