Quote:Bellevue still has a Light Force at 3 as well? Thanks for the photo of the engine as well. On the Hughes Fire website I noticed that Bellevue has a couple of Pierce TDA's in construction, probably fairly close to completion.
Yes, Light Force 3 is currently running with a 2002 American LaFrance LTI TDA and a 2011 Pierce Arrow XT shop #4034, one of five that were delivered in Feb 2011.  The two new Velocity TDA's are expected to go in service this summer and a third TDA will be ordered from Pierce in the near future.

Is Bellevue adding a 3rd truck company or is one of the new Pierce TDAs going to be a spare so they can get rid of the ALF/LTI?

<span style="color:rgb(34,34,34);">I don't know what they are planning to get rid of, but as it was explained to me, they will add the future new third truck at the training center so the FF's and recruits can train on a TDA similar to the front line units. Nice luxury.  I believe the oldest of their current TDA's is the reserve 1992 Simon Duplex LTI.

Thanks for the update. I read through the first 150 pages of the Bellevue Fire Facility Master Plan with recommendations for station replacement, relocation, etc. Short version regarding the ladder trucks- move the current ladders to Stations 4 and 6, which would be new facilities. And add a ladder to a proposed Station 10 which would be located downtown.

It was a pretty good read, although the whole document is 500+ pages. Here's a link- http://www.ci.bellevue.wa.us/pdf/Fire/BF...r_Plan.pdf

Does anyone have a apparatus assignment list for Bellevue?

Was this taken at Mercer Island Station 91? Unique shot if that's the case.

Yes it was.  They were probably preforming some training at the time.

SFD crews were conducting pump testing on one of three new 2014 Pierce Arrow XT engines today.  They will be assigned to engines 2, 13 and 31 when acceptance testing is completed.

Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority's new 2014 100' Pierce Arrow XT, L46, was in the procession today as part of the LODD memorial service for Tukwila FD Captain Mike McCoy who passed away last week, while attending a training session in Anniston AL.

The tandem rear axle tractor has a wheel base of 185" exactly the same size as Seattle's newer TDA's beginning with L3.
