I just noticed it, but did you have them put each of the Roto Rays like that while you were shooting the rigs?

Quote:I just noticed it, but did you have them put each of the Roto Rays like that while you were shooting the rigs?Just a little OCD on my part. I get picked on about it quite often, but it doesn't stop me!
Mike Sanders and I are often teased about doing that too.

Interesting, I guess I had never really paid attention. I always just leave them as is, but there are members on my department who have talked about it before with ours... ah, to each, his own. Everyone has that "must be done like this" when taking photos, nothing wrong with that!

I do the same with the Roto Rays too, however, I learned something "new" last year while photographing an ALF 700 Series engine with a Roto Ray. Apparently on old Roto Rays, the logo is only in a readable position when there are two lights on top and one on the bottom. I don't know if that was how the company "intended" the "correct" display to be that way or not. I had no clue, I always position them the same way Dave did/does as I prefer it that way. I was told this by the engine's caretaker, who was adamant that if I were to move the light, that I take the photo the "correct" way with two lights on the top!
Engine 173 with Keowee Key was at Corinth Shiloh for awhile. Sorry, My computer wouldn't let me Quote.

Thank you!
The following day (Friday) brought rain, so we took our time moving to our next base of operations in Big Canoe, GA. By late afternoon, the rain had stopped and we were able to catch a couple rigs in Dawson County.
