Iowa Rigs

Rescue rig.  This is a former Linn-Mar School District bus which also serves as a rolling gear carrier and goes to all major calls.  Many of  Olin's volunteers live outside of town so they will meet the bus at the scene.

Olin has matching pumpers, which were purchased from a department in Florida.  Engine 1.

Great set of photos. Rural departments have such a great variety of interesting rigs. Makes a nice change from 8,000 identical ones that all look the same.

Next stop in Jones County is the little town of Center Junction.  This department has four rigs, the first is a tanker that was acquired from a farming company near Clinton.

Next stop in Jones County is Martelle.  Martelle is just southwest of Anamosa, and southeast of Stone City, where stone was quarried for many years.
