This & That from Here & There
This past Friday and Saturday, I played host to three fellow apparatus photographers, one from California, one from Connecticut and the third from north Georgia.  I served as tour guide, apparatus spotter and on Saturday, driver.  Friday was spent in the metro Atlanta area and Saturday took us to Alabama.  Since this is my "home territory", I didn't shoot very many apparatus, less than twenty.  They shot over sixty.  We had to work around the clouds and run away from one brief shower on Saturday, but it could have been much worse.  Over the next several days, I'll post those I photographed.

The only other Georgia rig I shot was one of three new triplets in Carrollton.

This is one of two similar rigs operated by Gadsden.  When the older box was mounted on the current chassis, all identification was removed and our driver was of little help.  The sharp eye of unMarkedCarr determined the likely manufacturer.

Well that's something you don't see everyday. Do they use the bucket or don't you know?

John Fauble

I am interested in all of the equipment and apparatus used in fire fighting and ems service.

The rig has only recently been placed in service.  I'm not sure if they have used it at all yet, let alone the bucket.  They most likely will use it if/when there is a need.  They do plan on removing the white markings from the cab doors and putting their name on it..  It might even get a red warning light or two!
