Ladder 442 - 1970 Thibault 100 ft. Note the manual jacks. The first Montreal Thibault rear-mounts to have hydraulic jacks were the 1974's deliveries.

During the 1970's when I shot all these rigs Montreal had three heavy rescue squads - 605, 609 and 613.
Rescue 605 - 1955 Montreal Shops-Diamond T. The unit had a large compressor onboard for air operated tools and fans.

Squad 675 (spare) - 1948 Montreal Shops-Fargo. When I shot this on August 3, 1974 it was running as Rescue 605.

Platform 718 - 1962 Mussens-Trump-Ford 65 ft. This was Montreal's first elevating platform. When Montreal disposed of it in 1996 the boom was reused by Carl Thibault on a 1996 Ford LS-8000 for Berthier, Quebec Fire Dept.
