Oops.  Ladder 439 was a King Seagrave not a Bickle Seagrave.

Ladder 442 - 1970 Thibault 100 ft. Note the manual jacks.  The first Montreal Thibault rear-mounts to have hydraulic jacks were the 1974's deliveries.

During the 1970's when I shot all these rigs Montreal had three heavy rescue squads - 605, 609 and 613.

Rescue 605 - 1955 Montreal Shops-Diamond T.  The unit had a large compressor onboard for air operated tools and fans.

Squad 675 (spare) - 1948 Montreal Shops-Fargo.  When I shot this on August 3, 1974 it was running as Rescue 605.

Great shots, hard to believe they didn't outfit them with wooden cabs. I know it is cold in the winter!!

Platform 718 - 1962 Mussens-Trump-Ford 65 ft.  This was Montreal's first elevating platform.  When Montreal disposed of it in 1996 the boom was reused by Carl Thibault on a 1996 Ford LS-8000 for Berthier, Quebec Fire Dept.
