Quote:Another one of my Favorites was this unknown year American LaFrance from MunhallI don't recall the year off hand (mid 80s), but this unit originally served as Engine 11 for Monroeville #1 until replaced by their current Quint 1, a 2006 Ferrara. If memory serves correctly, this unit was delivered with an LDH hose reel on the back, which was later removed.
The Munhall ALF Century is a 1986. Built for Monroeville No. 1. This was the very last ALF built in Elmira. It was built with a LDH reel. It was refurbed in about 200 by New Lexington where the cab was 4 door enclosed, and the reel removed. It was then sold to Munhall in the late 2000's. Now owned by Mike Lieb of Ebensburg, who also owns the 1982 ALF Century open cab that served Monroeville No. 5. This was the very last open cab ALF made!

"Ford C Wagon 11"
1961 Ford/American LaFrance formerly Liberty Fire Company, East Berlin, Adams County PA. Refurb by PA Fire Apparatus. Named for Ambassador George Kennan, who I assume lived nearby.
