And finally the parade truck.  This is an original Tipton truck which was retired and sold to a department in Illinois, who eventually sold it back to Tipton.  It currently has brake issues.

As rigs are replaced the yellow color is going away.

 

That's too bad, but unfortunately, Lime/Yellow is almost a thing of the of the past anymore. Very few departments switch to it, and more and more are going away from it.

An update to my Mount Vernon, IA posts.  Mount Vernon has purchased a new tanker, 210.  Shown here in a recent parade.

Atkins is located in Benton County but also serves portion of Linn County.  Five pieces of apparatus are housed at their station which faces south.
