On August 13 I did some photographing in the Des Moines area of some of the departments on the north side of the city.  My first stop though was at the Iowa State Fair.

After leaving the fairgrounds my next stop was on the north side of Des Moines.  There is a fire brigade at Camp Dodge and they run two rigs.

The Iowa National Guard runs Camp Dodge, but there are many other entities that have activities at the Camp including Iowa's Law Enforcement Academy.

Camp Dodge's second out-truck.

Ex ambulance chassis? has wheeled coach mudflaps in the front.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.
