Is Capital City a private company, or is that actually how they refer to themselves? Someone in Alaska bought a Pierce tanker a couple of years ago, the had a picture of the North Star on the side that lit up.
Thanks for sharing, not a neck of the woods I get to see often, Trav!
Travis- Mill Twp. Fire Dept. Marion, IN.
I believe Cap. City is a merger of several FD's in that area.

Someone in Alaska bought a Pierce tanker a couple of years ago, the had a picture of the North Star on the side that lit up. Capital City Fire Rescue (CCFR) is where I started fire fighting, Hence my username. I grew up in Juneau. (wonderful place to grow up). CCFR is a combination department with 5 stations. Years ago there were multiple fire districts in Juneau. At one point in time they came together and they are now controlled by the City and Borough of Juneau as the Capital City Fire Rescue. Hope that answers your question. They are a municipality and not a private company. Great pictures! Id love to see more Alaska stuff! Thanks for sharing. Quote:Picture #6 is that not an International instead of a FL.THANKS; you are correct and the change has been made. I welcome the sharp eye and back-up.
