I saw on the Pierce Flickr site that Jacksonville's new E1 has a different look then the other new units, with a black stripe and gold leaf lettering and accents. Does anyone know why this is, anniversary scheme, other special reason?

It's sharp looking.  I was happy to see the change in colors overall for the new fleet.  Looking good!

There's a lot different about this one; hinged doors, the mirrors, no trays for hard suction

It is essentially a one-off memorial rig dedicated to all of their FFs that have died in the line of duty.
