100' is to long to fit in the station it was supposed to go to

What station was this tower supposed to go to then?  Every station that has had a truck in the past in this department has at one time or another had a tiller truck in it....so wondering how a tower could be too long for any station really, except for maybe 202??

It was slated to go to FS209. At the Fire & EMS Show in Virginia Beach, it was desplayed at Tower 209. Maybe all the apparatus at FS209 did not leave room for it.

The Tower was originally ordered to replace Tower 203 but would not fit into the station . It was then slated to be stationed at 209 but the island in front of the station prevented the Tower  from making  a complete turn . They would have to pull out slowly and back up to complete the turn .

Nope. That was a Norfolk rig that was rejected.

The 2014 model was rejected because of issues with it and another rig was built identical to it which will enter service very soon .

What kind of things do departments reject a truck for? About the only cosmetic difference I see between the stock truck and Ladder 10 is the front steers, so it's not that they didn't build to spec I assume? Unless it's smaller specs that we can't easily see.
