Question: I often see certain companies referred to as either Pipeline or Deluge but the apparatus looks identical to every other engine. What's the difference?

What's the difference? The amount of supply line that is carried on that apparatus. 1500 feet of 5" is a pipeline. That is what I was told sometime ago.
Deluge has larger deck guns (2000gpm I believe...)
pipelines carry 1000' and large hose manifolds
deluge have bigger deck guns; all new engines dont have deck guns anymore so no more deluge companies.

Retired and still a tax payer.
How about the men ?
Minor injuries to all.
Safe to say the cab is a total loss, what about the tiller trailer ? loss also or is it able to be repaired?

I am interested in all of the equipment and apparatus used in fire fighting and ems service. Quote:Safe to say the cab is a total loss, what about the tiller trailer ? loss also or is it able to be repaired?I would say a total loss.
Looking at the trailer, lots of damage to first several compartments and possibly turntable and outriggers. For an 8 year old trailer, would probably make sense to make it a parts donor for the rest of the Philly ALF fleet. This is just my humble, unprofessional opinion based on the pics - I am no expert in apparatus repair costs!
