FF Dan Capuano, 42, of Tower Ladder 34 was killed in the line of duty earlier this morning while battling a warehouse fire on the Far South Side. FF Capuano was working with his crew trying to locate the seat of the fire on Floor 2 of the 3 story vacant warehouse located at 92nd St & Baltimore Ave in very heavy smoke when he fell down an open elevator shaft, landing in the basement. He was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. FF Capuano was a 15yr veteran of the CFD & leaves behind his wife & 3 children. Services are pending.
