The Chevron Refinery in Burnaby B.C. once had this 1986 Ford C8000 truck, which was an in house shops conversion of a former product delivery truck, run as their hazmat response truck.
The Chevron Refinery in Burnaby B.C. has this truck as a quick response truck. Unit 9058 is a 2006 Rosenbauer Ford F 450 4x4 equipped with a Fire Combat Twin Agent System and carries 100 gallons of foam and 450 pounds of dry chem. propelled by an on board Nitrogen supply.

They still do have a fire department albeit only one engine from what I could tell. Both times I have visited over the last three years, I couldn't find anyone around to get some pics. If you ever make it up there to stay, the fire station is just to the right as you go to the eastern side of the hotel. BTW, the bunkers are still used. Some of the functions they have there are held in there, but unless you looked close, you wouldn't know it as it is very cleverly disguised. There are also areas still restricted, all of the ventilation system is still intact, and the rear main door is still used quite often. It never was meant for a nuclear bunker. It was more of a quick place to get away to from DC as the railroad goes almost right up to that rear door. Amtrak still keeps that rail line functioning as well. They also still maintain a very large medical office and have also built a sports training facility for some of the pro football teams to spend some preseason time.
I was the Fire Protection Manager for Alcan Aluminium Limited (aka the Aluminum Company of Canada or just Alcan and Rio Tinto Alcan since 2008) from 1980 to 2011. At one time we had more than 400 plants around the world of which more than 50 had industrial fire brigades or departments, some full-time but most volunteer. What follows is a selection of some of the apparatus. One of my tasks was to purchase fire apparatus. For Canadian rigs the units ratings are in Imperial galloons.
Alcan Smelters and Chemicals Kemano, British Columbia 1989 Anderson Engineering - Freightliner 1050/700 Kemano was an underground hydro-electric power station and company town of 220 people that was reached only by helicopter or boat. The truck was barged in. In 2013 it was replaced with a new Hub International 1250/1000 and was transferred to the Kitimat Smelter (which uses the power) where it is still in service.

Kitimat, British Columbia 2015 Hub - Ford 625/0/500# powder I specified this unit to be no taller than 2.8 meters (9 ft.) to be able to get under bridges around the potlines (smelter) production buildings. It is intended for use inside the production buildings and the 500# of Purple K is for fires involving molten aluminum where using water would result in serious risks to firefighters. This unit is equipped with 125 m (400 ft.) of 100 mm (4 in.) and runs in a kind of mini-maxi concept where it can lay a 100 mm (4 inch) line into a building that will be picked up and supplied by the maxi (the ex-Kemano Freightliner). Terre Haute, Indiana 1986 Darley Ford 750/200/30F This rig garnered a lot of interest at the time. Mini-pumps typically were equipped with 250 gpm pumps. We needed a much higher capacity for fighting rolling mill fires but also a vehicle that could go inside huge manufacturing buildings. We approached Darley and they agreed to build a prototype using a Ford F-350 chassis with a diesel engine and 750 gpm pump that was not UL listed for fire trucks as they did not have one. It carried 400 ft. of 4 in. The rig performed extremely well for many years.

Oswego Works Scriba, New York The Alcan Volunteer Fire Dept. was established in the 1960's. Today it is the Novelis Fire Dept. as the plant was spun off by Alcan in 2004. It remains Company No.1 in Oswego County and operates an engine, squad and 100 ft. tower ladder. In my days the apparatus fleet was larger. Truck 181 1981 Seagrave 100 ft. heavy duty aerial The story is this rig had been built for a California Fire Dept. and refused for some reason. Alcan needed to replace its 1940's ALF JOX aerial and good price was negotiated with Seagrave.. One of the fly sections was replaced in the 1990's - so much for heavy duty. This rig lasted until at least 2005. I have since seen a picture of a Sutphen Tower and most recently what appears to be a ALF LTI 100 ft. tower that apparently was acquired used from a department in Ontario, Canada - I am thinking Hamilton, Ontario..

197? Alcan GMC 500 # Purple K / 300 gals. AFFF / Hi-Ex This rig was built by the AVFD. The company would not give them the money to purchase a twin-agent rig so through devious means they found a chassis and purchased a dry chemical system, AFFF system with a separate engine driven pump and all the other "accessories" needed to build a fire truck!
